If your child was enrolled in a PAISD school the prior school year, your child is eligible to register using the online Returning Student System.

2024-2025 NEW STUDENT/ESTUDIANTE NUEVO

A new student is defined as new to Port Arthur ISD and having never attended a school in Port Arthur ISD, or a previous Port Arthur ISD student that withdrew and is re-enrolling.

You must complete all steps of the process and submit your child's registration. In order to complete the registration process, please follow complete all steps and provide any verification documentation as necessary

 

Affidavit of Residency

Parents or Guardian of students must produce a sales agreement (mortgage statement) lease, or rental contract with students name listed who lives with a friend/family member and must complete an Affidavit of Residency for each school year.  A completed online registration form for the assigned school with all required documents must be submitted. 

Students attending schools in the Port Arthur Independent School District under a residency affidavit must have their residency verified annually to avoid withdrawal from the Port Arthur Independent School District. The students affected are those currently enrolled on an affidavit or residency hardship.

Home Language Survey

19 TAC §89.1215(b), to be effective August 9, 2023, states school districts shall administer a home language survey, translated into the primary language whenever possible.

Per the rule, Port Arthur ISD is required to use the Texas Education Agency (TEA) produced form available in English and Spanish. Translations of the form in multiple other languages will be made available on txel.org, as translation work is completed.

Note that these changes apply only for surveys administered to parents of students enrolling on or after August 9, 2023.

Admission to PAISD's WECHS will be limited to students who reside in the PAISD and who meet the eligibility requirements for enrollment in an early college program and dual enrollment program under Applicable Law.
