Notice of Contingent Fee Contract
PUBLIC NOTICE – PROPOSED CONTINGENT FEE CONTRACT
(Texas Government Code Chapter 2254)
Notice is hereby given that the Port Arthur Independent School District (the “District”) is considering entering into a contingent fee contract for legal services in connection with claims arising from an industrial incident involving alleged property damage to District property.
Pursuant to Texas Government Code Chapter 2254, the District has determined that the proposed legal services involve complex legal and factual issues requiring specialized expertise and that a contingent fee arrangement may be necessary and in the best interest of the District and its taxpayers.
The Board of Trustees will consider and take possible action on the proposed contingent fee contract at a duly posted meeting:
