Police Reports
Obtaining a Copy of a Police Offense Report
To obtain a copy of an offense report, your request must be made in writing only. The Public Information Act allows governmental agencies 10 business days to process an open records request. You must provide a mailing address on all requests.
- All requests must be made in writing.
- You may e-mail, lachanda.perreau@paisd.org, or mail your request to 3501 S. Sergeant Lucian Adams Drive, Port Arthur, Texas 77642. ATTN: PAISD Police.
- There is a standard 10 business day waiting period, while we locate and prepare the report for release.
You will be notified when the offense report is ready and will be advised when and where it can be retrieved.
*Please note that information related to a case still under investigation or pending court CANNOT be released. Also, some cases are ineligible for release.
The public information portion contains a summary of the crime, the complainant's name, address, date, time and location of the incident, the responding Officer's name(s), and the incident number.
This is generally all the information needed by your insurance company, if you need the report for a claim.
