Employee Sick Leave Donation Program
This program will assist employees who have exhausted all paid leave and who suffer from a personal catastrophic illness or injury. The employee must have on file a completed FMLA Form to be eligible for consideration for the employee sick leave donation program. The program may also be used if an employee has been called to full time active duty in the armed forces during time of war.
Employees who donate leave must meet the following criteria: Employees must have five (5) days in their local leave bank after their donation. An employee may donate 1 to 5 days of their local leave bank to the recipient. Employees may receive a maximum of fifty (50) days donated to their pool by coworkers for one catastrophic event per school year. All requests for the establishment of a donation pool must be approved in advance by the Executive Director of Human Resources.
