Thank you for your interest in the Port Arthur Independent School District's leadership possibilities. PAISD needs campus leaders who can give vision and leadership, encourage, and lead by example. Our executives’ mentor and develop others, communicate and interact, and make sound decisions.

 

Principal

The Principal is the educational leader who directs, leads, and manages the instructional program, as well as oversees both campus operations and employees. Most importantly, the Principal offers leadership to establish high academic attainment expectations for students. The Principal must behave with integrity, support the organizational goals of the district, exhibit the capacity to inspire, grow, and encourage people, use feedback, drive for outcomes, and commit to supporting the needs of students and workers.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Texas principal or mid-management certification
  • At least five years of exemplary teaching experience
  • Minimum three years of successful experience in an instructional leadership role

 

Assistant Principal

The Assistant Principal is responsible for assisting with the leadership of the educational program and campus-wide operations. The Assistant Principal offers leadership to ensure that students achieve, manages allocated student activities and services, and ensures that district policies and procedures are followed.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Valid Texas principal or mid-management certification
  • At least three years of exemplary teaching experience
