Meal Programs

Here at PAISD, we offer several healthy meal programs!

Healthy Breakfast Meals

Breakfast is served in the traditional cafeteria line and allows students to eat a well balanced meal consisting of fresh fruits, milk, 100% fruit juice and a variety of low-fat foods. Healthy Lunch Meals

All school lunches meet or exceed state and federal nutritional guidelines. Elementary school lunches consist of an entrée and a variety of two side dishes offered daily.
Secondary school lunches consist of two entrée options and a variety of two side dishes offered daily.    
                                                                                                   
High School lunch offers a variety of themed lines and an extensive a la carte menu.

Secondary and High school participate with Offer vs. Serve, in which they are offered five meal components and select three that they want to consume.  Click the link for Frequently Asked Questions for the National School Lunch Program.


After School Snack Program

PAISD Child Nutrition and Food Service is proud to offer the After School Snack Program which was created to benefit all children who participate in specific school sponsored educational, enrichment-based programs after school.  It offers a nutritious snack to each campus that request the program at their site.


Summer Meals Program

Feeding Port Arthur’s youth, continues during the summer months with our Summer Feeding Program.  All Children ages 1 to 18 can receive a nutritionally balanced breakfast and hot meal at participating PAISD Summer School sites during the summer months.  Contact the Child Nutrition Department for specific locations 409-989-6124.
