Child Nutrition

Our Mission

The Child Nutrition Department is dedicated to enhancing academic excellence by providing quality nutritional services to the students and staff as well as promoting a team approach in a courteous, effective and efficient manner.

Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)

The Port Arthur Independent School District’s Child Nutrition Department will continue its policy of offering complimentary meals to children served under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2024-2025 school year. The Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) allows all PAISD schools to provide free breakfast and lunch to every student at no charge. No applications are required to participate.

Parents and guardians will not be required to submit a free/reduced meal application; however, PAISD requests that families complete the required socioeconomic information form included in the registration packet. The information collected is confidential and will NOT be shared or used for any other purpose. The federally funded programs mentioned above require it. In doing so, all concerned parties ensure the district continues to receive the necessary additional funding and benefits to maintain free meals for kids.

*Please note that there will still be a charge for any food not apart of the reimbursable meals such as à la carte items and snacks. Adults and visitors are still required to pay for meals.

Visit our ‘SchoolCafe’ page on the side of the screen for your child’s meal account needs (mobile users may find it below.)
