Pandemic EBT
The Pandemic Electronic Benefit Transfer, or P-EBT, application is open.  You should have received a letter with more information on how to apply for these food benefits.  P-EBT is for children who received SNAP food benefits for March 2020 and for children who are certified for free or reduced-price school meals during the 2019-20 Texas school year.  You could receive up to $285 per child on a P-EBT card to purchase food at stores.  If you have not received P-EBT information, please contact 833-613-6220.  Visit hhs.texas.gov/PEBT for more information.

Community Eligibility Provision (CEP)

The Port Arthur Independent School District Child Nutrition Department is changing its policy for serving meals to children served under the National School Lunch Program and School Breakfast Program for the 2019-2020 school year.  The Community Eligibility Provision allows all of PAISD schools to provide free breakfast and lunch to ALL students at No Charge, with No Applications Needed!

Parents/Guardians will not be required to submit a free/reduced meal application, however, Port Arthur ISD is asking that families complete the required socioeconomic information form included in the registration packet.  By doing so, it ensures our students can continue to receive the additional funding and benefits from programs that require the information to be collected.  The information collected is confidential and will NOT be shared or used for any other purpose.

*Please note that there will still be a charge for any food not part of the reimbursable meals, such as a la carte and snack items. Adults will still be required to pay for meals.
