On April 26 the Memorial HS Concert Band competed in the UIL Region X 5A-6A High School Bands Concert & Sightreading Contest @ the Nederland High School Performing Arts Center. For the concert portion of the competition, they played Cyrus the Great (King / Glover), Air for Band (Erickson), Imaginarium (Standridge).

A Memorial High School senior, Collins is a student of construction technology and has garnered the attention of Flint Hills Resources for two years in a row. But this year’s recognition — along with that for seven of her classmates — earned them each a $1,500 scholarship.
