UPDATE

Texas Senate Bill 530 requires all Texas school districts to annually assess the fitness levels of all students in grades 3-12.  These assessments have been done since spring of 2007-2008 school year.  The assessment tool that was selected by the Texas Education Agency was FitnessGram.  Parents can go to  www.fitnessgram.net  for more information.  Tests were administered by the physical education teachers,  and the information entered and reported online to TEA.

Testing will be done again this year and will be incorporated into the physical education periods.
