Text Box: Booker T. Washington was affected by a fire Sunday, January 4, 2009 (on the Memorial 9th Grade Campus).  The elementary side was a total loss. Thank you to all of the schools who opened their doors to our students, faculty, and staff. Locations: PreKindergarten & Kindergarten - Wheatley School 1st & 2nd Grade - Wilson Technology Theme School (Franklin Building) 3rd Grade - Travis School 4th Grade - DeQueen School 5th Grade - Tyrrell School Thank you to the many businesses and organizations that donated items and school supplies to help us be ready to open our doors for students to return after the Winter Break on January 12, 2009 (a week later).  January 5, 2009 was the scheduled date of return after the holidays.
