The Thomas Edison Middle School Library is open every day from 8:15 A.M. to 4:15 P.M.  All students are allowed to check out books on a regular basis from their reading classes.  Classes are assigned to one checkout day each week:  Monday, Wednesday, or Thursday.  Students may check out books any day before school, after school, or during transition.

 

Accelerated Reader is an important part of the Edison reading program.  Students are required to read library books and then take computerized AR tests on them.  The library supports this program with an extensive collection of AR books, reading promotions, and the Books and Breakfast Club.

 

The Books and Breakfast Club provides a quiet place for students to read on most mornings before school.  Once a month the group meets to discuss books over breakfast.  Any student can be a part of this group.
