The holidays are a time to celebrate, give thanks, and reflect. They are also a good time to pay special attention to you health. Give the gift of health and safety to yourself and others by following these these holiday tips:

Wash Hands Often

Keeping hands clean is one of the most important steps you can take to avoid spreading germs and getting sick.

Stay Warm

Cold temperatures can cause serious health problems.

Manage Stress

The holidays do not need to take a toll on your health. Keep a relaxed and positive outlook.

Travel Safety

Whether traveling cross town or around the world, help ensure a safe trip. Don't drink and drive, and always wear your safety belts.

Watch the Kids

Children are a high risk to injuries. Always keep a watchful eye on the kids at all times if possible

Christmas Shopping

Try to do your shopping during the daylight hours if possible. If you do decide to shop at night, try to park in a well lit area. Hang on to your packages and ladies especially hold on tight to your purse. Lock your vehicles always, whether you're in them or not.

Prevent Injuries

When putting up or taking down decorations, always use a ladder or step stool, never use a chair or table. Leave the fireworks to the adults or the professionals. Keep candles away from children, Christmas trees, curtains, and pets.

Handle and Prepare Food Safely

As you prepare your holiday meals, keep yourself and your family safe from food-related illnesses. Avoid cross-contamination. Cook your foods to the proper temperature. Refrigerate promptly. Do not leave perishable foods out more than a couple of hours.

From the Regulatory Compliance Manager's office, have a safe and joyful Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! Take care and be safe. See you next year!
