District Awards for Teacher Excellence (D.A.T.E.) Grant Legislative Changes for 2010-2011 Cycle 1, Year 3
Legislative Changes for 2010-2011 None
Legislative Changes for 2009-2010 · Principals are now eligible for direct awards under Part I (60% of grant)
· Districts no longer have to provide a 15% cash or in-kind match
· Part II funds may be used to provide incentives to attract & retain principals and teachers with proven records of success at hard-to-staff schools
· Awards may not be given to teachers for having advanced degrees
· School boards do not have to approve local plans
