Dr. Mark Porterie, Deputy Superintendent for
Curriculum and Instruction, Operations and Leadership Support

Mark
Porterie, Ed.D., is a
graduate of NOVA Southeastern University, in Fort Lauderdale,
Florida. He earned his Master of Education in Administration from
Prairie View A&M University in Prairie View, TX. and his Bachelor
of Education from Lamar University in Beaumont, TX. Dr. Porterie is
certified as a teacher, principal, and as a superintendent.
Dr. Porterie is an experienced educator with 16 years of success in
promoting student achievement through identifying, analyzing and
implementing programs/procedures. He is dedicated and creative with
proven ability to plan, coordinate, and execute student and
community events. Dr. Porterie's academic improvements include
leading two schools to Texas Education Agency status of
“recognized.”
Dr. Porterie is anxious to hear
from all schools and departments as he articulates the school’s and
districts’ mission to the community and solicit its support
in realizing the mission.
